Kris & Addy's Wedding at Rancho Las Lomas
Kris and Addy’s goal was a blend of uniqueness and tradition, with Addy coming from an Indian background and Kris coming from a Filipino background, so they picked the most perfect place for their wedding - Rancho Las Lomas! This venue is one of my favorite workplaces because it contains authentic and stunning details even without adding so much decor to it. It embodies natural beauty and breathtaking scenery, so it is no surprise that this celebration was so dreamy.
Kris and Addy, the couple that started dating in 2013, had an idea which was to incorporate traditional elements of Addy's culture with the spectacular scenery of Orange County. The botanical garden of Rancho Las Lomas was the perfect setting for this occasion! They wanted to depict Indian values through their union, and the secluded natural area of the venue gave them the ideal ambiance for that.
The couple’s ceremony took place under a grandiose ancient oak and astounding sycamore trees. This Orange County wedding venue has an open-air theater and a marble ceremony stage, which was perfect for such a celebration. The marvelous combination of white stucco, hand-painted tiles, and botanical gardens surrounding the place created an enchanting atmosphere. Addy's parents discovered this venue and could not stop talking about it until Kris and Addy paid a visit to the venue themselves. From there, they knew that it was exactly what they had wanted and imagined for their Indian ceremony!
Moreover, the whole marble stage was ornamented with green decorative branches and colorful Indian details. They wanted intimacy and elegance, and the venue provided exactly that. Their traditional attire matched this setting brilliantly, so their wedding photographs achieved fairytale-like features.
However, nothing would have turned out so amazing if it wasn't for the down to earth vibes from the couple. Kris and Addy are natural, spontaneous and adventurous, so working with them was a genuine delight. Shooting their wedding portraits was so fun because they were just being themselves. And the result was astonishing!
Working with such an amazing couple in such beautiful surroundings was a great honor. Rancho Las Lomas offers the most spectacular scenery, so I was excited to shoot a traditional ceremony there. It was definitely a unique and unforgettable experience and hoping to be back there soon!
